We have longed wanted things like this, although they aren’t really a function of the DrexelOne App.
Two things stand in the way: Apple doesn’t yet let regular apps use the NFC capabilities like Android phones do and some new building access hardware and software is needed to read phones. If Apple opens up NFC, as is reportedly coming, it’s possible that the hardware and software changes will come.
We have wanted other NFC things, so we will be watching Apple to see if they open some opportunities for us.
do not remove access to courses in the "My Courses" tab of Drexel One until the term is completely over, even if there are not finals
I can't access the course to submit the final paper in finals week. Since there is no final exam, there is no access to the course for me. Thanks a bunch, it is super helpful in my last course.1 vote
The courses that appear in My Courses is controlled by when Banner says that a term opens and closes. However, you can still get to “old” classes by clicking the All Courses link to jump over the main page of Blackboard Learn. There, you’ll to see a list of sections that are current and those that were opened early or extended by your professor.
When you first look - it looks like everyone is white.1 vote
There actually is diversity in that photo. Also, we do plan to change out the photos once in a while, so you will see something else this year.
Use Gmail as the email domain. It's much more user-friendly and allows for the sharing capabilities of Google Drive.40 votes
We’re moving to Office 365, so we’ll all get the benefits that you describe: a better user interface, file storage and sharing, and more.
Almost everyone I know forwards their email to somewhere else (I forward mine to Gmail) which means that every once in a while we don't realize but our inbox gets full and we don't realize for a few days and by then we could have potentially missed a couple of important emails. One of my friends' email clients automatically notifies him when his inbox is 90% full. That would be a very helpful feature to implement.22 votes
With the coming move to Office 365, the idea of “inbox is full” will go away. The new quotas will start at 50 GB and are expected to increase later this year.
Quit making me update my personal information everytime I want to access something. It's annoying and makes me hate Drexel.1 vote
It’s not DrexelOne that’s making you do that. The university has set a policy that certain pieces of information need to be confirmed on a quarterly basis. You don’t actually need to change anything, but you do need to let Drexel know that the information that it has is still correct.
I need to delete multiple emails WITHOUT clicking each individually -- for example by clicking one, holding shift key, and then clicking another, then deleting the entire set of emails between the two "clicked" emails.
Clicking one at a time is way too time consuming and is prone to too many mistakes. My mailbox is overloaded b/c it is so onerous to separately click each one.1 vote
The mail app isn’t actually part of DrexelOne at all. (It’s a separate product that you can get to from DrexelOne, just like you can get to Learn, Banner, or the Benefits Service Center which is run off-campus by a private company.)
That said, clicking the check box above the column of check boxes will select all of the messages. This might make it easier to do large-scale selections.
Whenever clicking on one of the Bannerweb Portals (i.e. SCDC services, Financial Services, Student Services, etc) a form shows up asking me to "Update Current Residence and Mailing Addresses". Why should it be supposed that by clicking on this link my address would have for any reason changed since the last time I clicked on it? Additional, many links also require you to confirm your telephone number and tax form agreement. There is also absolutely no reason for these forms to show up and they are simply an inconvenience and a waste of time, not to mention demonstrate the incompetence of Drexel's web design staff (as it's been like that for at least three years). Please fix. Thank you.

Oh, how we wish that we could make the change that you suggest!
While you and we may think that there’s little reason for those “pre-term screens,” each has gone through a review process that approved the general idea and the implementation. When you see them and how they work has little to do with the competence of the development staff.
While we don’t like them either, we take comfort in knowing that they only appear once per quarter. You can take comfort in knowing that IRT tries to get other departments to show more restraint in the use of these screens.
I need to plan my academic, work, and personal life way ahead of time. It would be helpful to have a link to the Academic Calendar at one of the website's primary points of entry.1 vote
For the most part, the information and services in DrexelOne are specific to the signed-in user rather than general/public information. Also, there are many academic calendars at Drexel and a number of other important calendars.
The place were we go to get at all of that time-based information is http://Drexel.edu/calendars (which does a redirect to http://events.drexel.edu, but the former URL sticks in our heads). Once there, point to the Other Calendars menu and choose the one that you want. Some of them have lots of sub-choices, so there may be more clicking until you get to the area that you want.
Right now you can only move them to Junk e-mail. The option to add to SPAM is only through phone (android). Can't do in browser.1 vote
This is a cool idea, but it’s for the web mail site, not the DrexelOne site. We’ll let them know about it (there’s no UserVoice forum for the webmail service, so you won’t be able to track progress).
It would be fantastic if a service was set up so we could easily find out school closing/delay information. It would also be neat if more data was opened up (building information, user authentication, other alerts, etc). I'm sure all the tech people could create some really awesome projects with this info1 vote
We actually don’t have such information. The decision to close or not isn’t entered into a database for us to expose. (It is keyed in to a freeform message that’s shown on the public website and sent via DrexelAlert, but that’s it.)
allow users to add short cuts to welcome page. It doesn't make sense that reorganizing translates into more click for desired page
under settings users should be able to select different short cuts- maybe it is the home page for the course or the discussion board for the course but once logged in, there is room on the welcome page in the bottom left for a short cuts section under the Ask Drexel area. Instead of two clicks from the welcome page, I now have 3 in order to get to my class...1 vote
We don’t have a way to allow shortcuts. However, your suggestion helped us find a data defect that was requiring students to perform one too many clicks to get to the right place in Blackboard Learn. This has been fixed so everyone should have just two-click access to Learn for courses (once on the Academic tab and a second time on the course itself).
Note: this is a suggestion for the mobile side of Drexel.One. Please see https://d1m.uservoice.com/forums/145677-drexelone-mobile/suggestions/4416438-create-a-drexelone-mobile-app-for-blackberry-10
The quick summary is that there’s not enough market share to be worth doing it for BB 10 yet. We still have our fingers crossed, but things aren’t looking good yet.
